THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING
Hi. First of all Merry Christmas to you all and to racers
across the globe.

In
fact the global theme is what brings me to write. In your
wish list for 2005 you talk about bringing the NHRA and
IHRA together for a true world series. Just a quick reminder
that the world should mean the world!, and that there is
a whole world of drag racing out there.
If I take the example of Top methanol racing as an example,
to my knowledge there are cars racing from: England, Sweden,
Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Malta, Germany, Australia,
and Holland.
Come on guys, don't forget the big family of drag racing.
All the best.

Point taken. Now it looks like there's going to be
a European tour in the Burkster's future.
ONE MORE WISH
I wish for the NHRA and IHRA TV broadcasts to have ratings
as good as bowling and better than competitive cheerleading.
Only one guy can do that. Why didn't you wish for him?
John Mullin...but of course.

IN GOOD COMPANY
I enjoyed (Dale Wilson's) article about George Howard and
his thoughts on mixing some heads-up action with ET Brackets.
I agree with George that we don't want to throw ET racing
away. We HAVE reduced the number of bracket events we run
in order to KEEP it on our schedule. It is pretty easy to
see that making a few bucks once a month is better than
breaking even 4 or 5 times a month.
It is quite a compliment to be mentioned along with great
promoters like Ron Leek and Steve Earwood. I don't know
if I deserve to be in that kind of company. But, thank you
anyhow. :>)
Best,
