TWO STEPS FORWARD, ONE STEP BACK

You would think the Nazis would be a little more prepared after the Pro Stock Truck debacle they lost. No Pro Stock Truck guy is talking, just saying they are very pleased with the outcome.

The Russell deal was a tragic accident, maybe one in a million, but it happened because of a tire everyone knew was no good, and no good because of the rules. I can only blame Goodyear a little bit, but NHRA should know better, especially under the circumstances, the cars go way too fast and they are not smart enough to slow them. Every time someone comes up with a good idea on slowing cars NHRA comes back with one that lets them go faster. . .it's the fuel pump stupid. . .if that rule was imposed instead of the stupid ass 90% rule we would not be having this discussion. Just my three cents.

SHINE A LITTLE LIGHT

Yup, "dead on." I bet there are surprises and other strange things to be learned about the murkier side that is being hid. It is disturbing to me that someone had to die to get rid of the tires that even the casual fan knew were incapable of handling the performance of the car. Not telling Julie Russell what/how her husband was killed is inexcusable, regardless of the time frame. No one would want to do it, but we all have done things we did not want to but needed to do. Obviously Dupuy leaving Amato has also raised eyebrows and initiated even more questions. Hopefully the rest of us racers will get enough of the truth so something like this will not happen again for a long time.

I just hope enough of the truth makes it to daylight to help improve our sport, and does not get buried as part of a sealed court case.

Keep pounding them, Mr. B!
