Real fire in the pipes
Every once in a while things don't go as planned. For Tony Schumacher this was one of those occasions. I happened to be sitting on the "short" side at Pomona with Dave Wallace and his gang when Schumacher came by on fire. You could feel the heat in the stands. Cruzin' with Cruz
There is a lot of luck involved in getting a really good fire in the pipes shot. This on of Cruz in the '98 Interstate Batteries/ Hot Rod magazine car at the U.S. Nationals is one of my favorites because you can see Cruz's helmet, face and eyes. Where there is fire there are firetrucks
This truck was part of the exhibition act at an IHRA National Event
at Cordova Dragway. It is one of my favorite Jet exhibition vehicles. |
