Up close and personal

Sometimes as a photographer you go for the dramatic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I like this close-up of Cory McClenathen's fueler.

Flames over the wing

Everybody talks about flames over the wing. Ken Veney's tune-up in the Mike Dunn driven Mopar fueler at Topeka had flames over the top of the wing.

Arty? No it's Jack!

Pontiac Jack Ostrander, who mostly sticks to the IHRA Top Fuel trail these days, is one of my favorite drivers to photograph. Back when I first started trying night shots I took this "mistake" and it turned out to be what we now call a "motion" shot instead.
