Ashley Force will be driving a top alcohol dragster next year after spending much time at Frank Hawley's Driving School in Florida. Ashley, seen here with sisters Courtney (now 15) and Brittany (now 17) who is holding their cat, Timber, shown with the family's two "puppies" Tahoe (L) and Dakota. Ashley will graduate from Cal State Fullerton in December, all her spare time is devoted to college studies, drag racing or the Television and Film Society which she is a member.

Another couple that has just returned from a vacation are Jeg and Karen Couglin who enjoyed a few days at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina after relaxing and "doing absolutely nothing with our son Jeggie." . . . It is absolutely true that Bruce Allen's crew chief, Dave Reher, took a day off away from the races (the first time ever) to attend his daughter Laura's high school graduation where she was salutatorian, scored a whopping 1580 on her SAT's and has earned a full scholarship to Texas A & M University . . . Congratulations also go out to Betty and Roger Lamb on the marriage of their son "Jet Car Bozo" Derek Lamb, who enjoyed a barefoot cruise with his lovely bride Melissa on the motor-yacht "Icon" in Newport Bay, California.

Kim and Greg Anderson were able to squeeze in a much needed mini-vacation recently when they traveled to the Cayman Islands with Greg's sister Terri. Brittany and Cody, shown here with Kim and Greg at the Denver race, stayed home with the grandparents and had a "really fun time." Brittany celebrated her birthday on July 6th and was presented with a laptop computer and a small "Sweet 13" diamond ring from her dad.
Brady Kalivoda and his long-time girlfriend, Alexis Smith, are happy to announce their wedding engagement. Brady, who has a college degree in accounting, actually got down on his hands and knees to propose. A date has not yet been set for the nuptials but we're sure Brady will be kept busy as one of Clay Millican's crew members.
The formal portrait of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hamlin's "Big Ass Wedding" taken in the lovely wine country of Northern California. Patti Miles-Hamlin, who does P.R. for both Greg Anderson and Mark Whisnant, describes her hectic nuptials schedule, "wedding, won the (NASCAR) race at Sears Point, home a couple of days, off to St. Louis for our 'honeymoon,' home a couple of days, off to Daytona, home a couple days, off to Chicago. It is going to take me a week just to do laundry." Kevin is NASCAR Robbie Gordon's very competent crew chief.

No one was sure who the Oakley crewmembers were that were caught leaving one of the hot spots in Golden, Colorado during the Mile-High Nationals, but one thing was certain, MoPar took over the entire town and left it none the worse for wear . . . Get-well wishes go out to Dick Rosberg who is recuperating at home from what was supposed to be "minor" surgery, but the doctors found cancer in his thyroid. You can contact Dick at 1202 Carolina Dr., Rockingham, NC 28379 . . . In closing, a recent Enderle nitromethane hydrometer went up for sale on eBay and the listed contact people were Helen Hofmann and Mike Cavalieri. Could it be a hot romance in the works?
