Check Out That Chassis

Scott,

In the latest question Gil states that his ic is 41" out and 11.1" up. Could you explain this statement? How do you determine this?  I'm attempting to understand 4-link set up. Confused! A e-mail reply will do.

Will,

The IC length and height is determined by extending a line thru the center line of the upper and lower 4-link tubes forward till they cross this point is the IC. It is measured from the rear axle center line front and the ground up.

There are a number of book that tell you how all of this stuff works, the one we sell is Dave Morgan’s book called Door slammers the chassis book. It can help you figure out all the things you need to know to make your car work better.
