FUELforTHOUGHT

Dave,

I am currently running a 555 (4/7 swap; 15-1 comp) with a rons terminator in a 230 undercover 4-link. The car is a consistent 7.87 169mph car. Unfortunately I am about two-tenths too slow to get in the quick 16 locally. What nitrous system will work with my combination? Will I have to add a gasoline system to spray with the nitrous?

Thank you,

Greg Fedak

Greg,

Pedal faster my friend! I would say you can meet your goal with somewhere between 200-350 hp. A gazillion hole plate can supply this HP but a nozzle system would be my recommendation for now and the inevitable future HP fever. You can use alky as the enrichment fuel but gas is the predominant choice of racers as tuning it is more universally understood.

IF this is a single terminator engine you should consider a Hat/Tunnel ram or dual terminators/tunnel ram as you very likely have a "choke".

Have a safe race,

Dave Koehler
