McClay has also re-engineered the internal components so that the rotating
assembly in his transmission weighs half of what the assembly in a stock
turbo-400 weighs. The results of McClay's work is a lightweight, three-speed,
OEM-style tranny that has proven it will not only survive in heavy doorslammers
but actually will increase a cars performance. As an added bonus McClay's
TH-200 will allow the car owner to move weight around in the car to
get more percentage on the rear wheels.

McClay makes his own gearsets
and offers ratios from 1.82 to 2.91. |

These are not inexpensive transmissions. The cost for a McClay unit
starts at $1675 and for a full boogie unit you will shell out over $5500.
But in today's street legal and import car racing world this is not
an outrageous amount - especially if you can pick up a couple of tenths.

McClay has also designed and built his
own valve body and transbrake for the TH-200. |

An aluminum "drum" is just one of the
components that McClay has built to lighten and strengthen the rotating
assembly in his TH-200. |
