ODDY/HAHN, WOOD EARLY ENTRIES AT DRO ROCKINGHAM WARM-UP

Defending NHRA AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod World Champs Jim Oddy and Fred Hahn and IHRA Pro Stock rookie Talmadge Wood are among the first entries for the Drag Racing Online Winter Warm-up at Rockingham Dragway February 27-29. Hahn and Oddy will be testing their tried and true 'Vette, but with new suspension components from the Tim McAmis shop under the car.

Fifty-year-old rookie Talmadge Wood (above) is drag racing for the first time using a Wally Stroupe Race Cars-built 2002 Ford Mustang and Jon Kaase power. Keep your eye on Agent 1320 for more info about the event.

ANOTHER FUNNY CAR DOESN'T RETURN

The Agent hears that there's not much chance popular driver Dean Skuza will return to the fuel coupe wars for the 2004 season. While all the parts and pieces are ready, the team with crew chief Brian Corradi will sit until a solid sponsor can be found.

What a shame that in today's lousy sponsor market a 2003 three-time Funny car runner-up and Top-Ten POWERade points finisher is not going to be racing.
