2005 GTO FOR CODY BARKLAGE
Agent 1320 got this B&W spy photo of 17-year-old
Cody Barklage's new 2005 Pontiac GTO which
is being built at Jerry Bickel's race car factory
near Moscow Mills, Missouri. This GTO body
certainly looks stock appearing in its present
state, but if it gets a paint job anything
near as radical as the one that graces older
brother Zach's current blown Grand Am, then
it should be a wild looking race car. This
car will probably get the same Darren Mayer
engine combo that brother Zach has in his. [10-21-2004]
MSD EFI
The Agent hears that the MSD company, which
is best known for its premier ignition systems,
is going to get more serious about fuel injection
systems. You may have seen pictures of the
mechanical fuel injection that they have developed
for sprint car racing here in Agent 1320. Now
comes the rumor that MSD may have developed
a new electronic fuel injection system and
that famed engine builder Sonny Leonard will
be testing the system on a well known Comp
Eliminator 'Vette A/Altered next season. [10-21-2004]
NEW SHOP FOR HERBERT
Agent 1320 got a couple of
photos from someone at (Doug) Herbert Performance
showing their brand new warehouse. The
facility recently was relocated from Cherryville,
NC to Lincolnton, NC. According to the
Agent’s source the new warehouse
is purpose built to speed up orders and
better serve their customers. |
Lincolnton is also the hometown of the
Agent’s favorite drag rag, Quick
Times Racing News, and its editor Becky
White. The question the Agent asks is,
is Lincolnton big enough for two giants
of drag racing such as Becky and DougZilla? [10-20-2004] |
