FUNNY CAR REUNION
Some of the participants -- including one "Dangerous Dave" Sano - recently rented an East Coast track to get ready for the upcoming Funny Car Reunion at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ on July 27-28. One of Agent 1320's best spy photographers, Dave Milcarek, was on hand when Sano did this fire burnout (also shown on our cover) in the ex-John Force Corvette. If memory serves, the Agent believes it to be Force's Wendy's Hot and Juicy car, which means this is probably not the first time the body has been subject to fire.
Also scheduled to appear at the Reunion, here's the recently refurbished and fresh out of the paint shop 1970 Dodge Challenger Funny Car of John Denski and Mike Wilson. Built by Tom Smith's Wolverine Chassis, it's powered by a 426 iron Hemi with an 8-71. DRO is honored to have named the "Official Internet Magazine" of the
inaugural Great Big MFFC Reunion. We will be sending two of our best.
. .er, make that one of the best and a slug editor. . .to cover this
historic race. Stay tuned to DRO for updates in Agent 1320 or you can
get more information at www.funnycarreunion.com.
