DENHSAM RETURNS TO FORCE IN
2004?
The Agent has been hearing a lot of rumors
about who will be sitting in the driver's seat
of John Force's fleet of Ford Mustangs for the
2004 season. Here's what the Agent is fairly
sure of. Force will be driving one of the cars.
It is 90% sure that Gary Densham will also return
to the Force camp for next year.
According to the Agent's source, the reason
for Densham's return was that when the decision
to release him was made, the Pedregon deal hadn't
gone down. Now, team management feels that because
of all the craziness that has gone on surrounding
who will join the Force Team for 2004, bringing
Densham back will help the team have a smoother
transition than bringing in two new drivers
and trying to get the tuners, drivers and teams
to jell! [12-15-2003]
STEWART TO CREW CHIEF FOR
CAPPS
John Stewart, crew chief on Darrell Gwynn's
Top Fuel dragster this year, will be moving
to the Funny Car pits next season as crew chief
for Ron Capps' Skoal Racing Green Chevrolet
Monte Carlo.
"We are always looking to add good, experienced
people and Stewart definitely fits that description.
He has worked with winning cars and tuned winning
cars," said team owner

Prudhomme.
During his almost 30 years in the sport, Stewart also spent time as a
crew member for Connie Kalitta, Shirley Muldowney, Cruz Pedregon, Shelly
Anderson, Tim Wilkerson, Bob Vandergriff, Dean Skuza and Jim Epler.
"Most of my career has been spent with under-funded teams," Stewart
said. "Now I have a situation I've dreamed about -- being on a team that
has the funding to do what it takes to win a championship.
"A winning team needs the right equipment,
the right crew and the ability to test. We'll
have all of that," he added. [12-12-2003]
