DRO COMP ELIMINATOR PROJECT UPDATE

Here are a couple of photos of Kenny Nowling's DRO Magazine project car. The Jerry Bickel Firebird, which was updated at the Tim McAmis shops in Hawk Point, MO, just got out of the paint shop. It was scheduled to compete at Gainesville but we just flat ran out of time. The team plans to test the car after Gainesville in order to get used to the prototype Barry Grant, 750 cfm carb we bolted on the Patterson small block. The team will also test their new Scott McClay trans and TCI converter combo. Now the national event debut for the car will be at the O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston April 10-13. [3-10-2003]
