NATIVE AMERICAN INDUSTRIES
GIVES ROCCA THE GREEN
The green light that is. Pro Mod owner/driver
Johnny Rocca has secured sponsorship for his
DarkHorse '49 Merc Pro Modified from Native
American Industries. Native American Industries
is involved in the manufacturing and installing
of traffic signals on the East Coast. (Jeff

CAPPS GOING IN CIRCLES.
. .AGAIN
The Agent had Ron Capps on his roof in an
entry last week about some IROC testing he
was involved. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Capps did
crash; he just didn't get on the roof. The
Agent was thinking of Gary Scelzi. (All those
driver guys look the same to the Agent when
they get the helmets on.) Anyway an official
agent apology to Mr Capps. But he may redeem
himself. Seems like Capps, Doug Kalitta and
World of Outlaws driver Danny "the Dude" Lasoski
are going to race in a benefit deal on the
half-mile dirt track at the Missouri state
fairgrounds. They'll be driving NMCA modifieds.
We'll keep you posted. [7-1-2003]
RAIN OUT CANCELS MAPLE GROVE
NMRA EVENT

completed
this year. Extensive efforts were made to reschedule
the event for a 2003 date; however a large number
of early season rainouts and a full Maple Grove
Raceway schedule will not permit the event to
be scheduled for completion.
Tickets from the event can be redeemed for
tickets to the rescheduled FMSN in 2004 at
Maple Grove Raceway or one of the remaining
NMRA National Events in 2003.
Due to the re-scheduling of the event for
2004, the NMRA Points system will now consist
of the following: Racers that compete in 6
of 7 NMRA events receive 100 bonus points
(was 7 of 8). Points will be accumulated from
the NMRA events using the best points totals
accumulated at 5 of 7 events (was 6 of 8).
