Charlotte Lucas has been joking about grabbing
the family's A/Fuel dragster seat left by her
son leaving to race with Joe Amato and Wayne
Dupuy, son Morgan said, "I don't think she could

cars,
Morgan said, "But if it gets too busy, I'll
have to make a change. Pat Austin did it and
a lot of good racers have done it. I don't know
if I can handle it, it will be a lot of pressure
with everything else that's going on. I'll give
it my best shot, but my priorities come first,

Morgan was especially grateful to his teacher
Jerry Darien who taught him that "Proper preparation

Morgan went on to nail his third win of the
season defeating Duane Shields in the final
with in a close side-by-side final round running
5.279/266.37 to Shields' 5.294.
Larry Dixon, who swept the Western Swing in
2003, qualified 6th and went out in the second
round to Brandon Bernstein.
