How pleased would you be if your street legal, pump gas late model Camaro did this on treaded tires and has started to threaten the eight second zone in only half a season of competition? Ray Comer has his hands on yet another gem from the Webster Race Engineering workshop and one of the biggest grins in the Street Eliminator pits.

After a wretched season, struggling to make it to the finishline on so many occasions that the team was considering taking a sabbatical in 2006, Shaun Branch took his blown Special Branch Funny Bike to the class win over Tim Blakemore hopefully forcing a rethink on plans for next season.

Roel Koedam brought the fastest fuel bike in Europe over from Holland to take advantage of the predicted sunny weather and excellent racing surface, and squeeze as much track time as possible after early season niggles. Koedam and crew chief Marius van der Zijden underlined the potential in the revised set-up with an early shut-off 6.07/225 and a tire spinning 6.13/231 to take the Top Fuel eliminator from Steve Carey.
