The DNQ setback was particularly disappointing
for Pittman's crewmembers, who had hoped for a good outing at Richmond
after qualifying 10th at The Rock, only to have a dead battery rob
their chances at a win in round one of eliminations. |
Team owner Ken Westbrook said a lack of testing time may
have hurt the team's early performance, especially since they have been
testing some new fuel systems and clutch combinations. "I think the
weight and gear rule changes have hit us some too," Westbrook continued.
"Rule changes during the course of the season are always tough to deal
with. But, we're drag racers and we'll adjust and rebound."
