New York state racer Mike Swinarski brought his blown ‘69 Camaro to Louisiana. Swinarski, who also competes in the IHRA Top Sportsman class, qualified with a 7.01 and went two rounds.

Bob Rieger’s S-10 couldn’t E.T. with Christian’s ‘57 but it stormed on the back half of the track, running speeds of 208.52 and 209.10 for the record as well as several other laps over 207.
