PROCHARGER EFI RENEGADE

Kurt Gallant and Dan Jaynes ran in the 8.80's, turning in the quickest passes of the year for the EFI Renegade class. Gallant held on until the semifinal, where he lost to Jeremy Martorella, sending Martorella to the money round to face Jaynes (below).

The pair left closely together, but Jaynes' 8.90 at 152 mph gave him the win over Martorella's 9.11 at 150.

EDELBROCK HOT STREET was won by Shane Long (photo) over Kenny Compton. Charlie Booze Jr. was quickest of the 16 naturally aspirated Mustangs with a 9.08 at 149 mph.

BFGOODRICH DRAG RADIAL. Chris Little won all but the Joliet race, so the class championship was not in question.

Dave Hopper met Little in the final round and got the easy win when Little went up in a ball of flames when the light went green.
