One of the real innovations is to take selected fans closer to the power of nitro racing by hauling lucky winners to the starting line for nitro sessions and then to the top end while riding on an innovative cart and trailer combo.

Drag racing fans will have an opportunity to drive the POWERade Pro Stock Simulator and will be able to have their photo taken in their favorite crew uniform holding an official Wally. By using the ID number given to them at the strip the fan will then be able to download their family photo from the NHRA website when they get home.

FORCE CONTINUES TO STRUGGLE

John Force qualified for the Las Vegas event and moved into the statistical lead over Pro Stock's Warren Johnson for the longest qualifying streak in NHRA history. The frustrations during Force's slump have apparently been taking their toll on crew Chief Austin Coil. Coil has been trying to utilize some of the horsepower gains found by Force Racing crew chiefs Jimmy Prock, John Medlin, and Dickie Venables, but apparently the fuel curves of the 12-time Championship car are different enough from the other cars to throw the Mustang's tune-up for a loop.
