RIGHT ON TRACK
You hit the nail on the head Burk! "Run What Ya Brung"
racing back in the early days of Funny Car provided the
most entertainment and performance for the buck. Will Force's
new Mustang body resemble a Mustang? I doubt it. Innovation
got pushed way beyond just having a "trick" setup.
Sounds like the ADRL is getting on the right track!

BERTHA FAN
Thanks for the Monty Berney story. I met him when he was
match racing in the Midwest in 1993 against the Weiss '65
GTO. Then to Memphis for the finals. Great guy and killer
car then. The car now is unbelievable and he is racing against
tube cars.
Thanks .

Yo Jeffy: That psychedelic background on your pic is really
cool. Background info about it please?
Blogs - I've started to read some and I remember a few
recently that admitted the PR guy is penning them. At least
that's honest.
Whit Bazemore's stuff on Comp Plus is awesome and almost

times in the last 55 years that a nitro guy interviewed
and published about other nitro guys? I say bravo, huzzah,
and bring 'em on!
You guys also have a tremendous opportunity with your Frank
Oglesby stuff. You guys deserve fawning admiration for having
the gonzo's to give Frank an outlet.
I only hope some day he's in a position to write openly
about some of the meathead ameoba's-have-more-brain-power
pinheaded geek anti-decisions some of the major sanctioning
bodies have made over the years!
And speaking for the entire online community, we're all
anxious to see how many times Chris Martin mentions Frank
Zappa in his next columns.

P.S. Could you please force Cole Coonce to have just a
wee bit of public remorse for nuking Nitronic Research?
I no longer think he should be taken out like G. Gordon
Liddy offered to do to himself during Watergate, but, geeez,
you know, Nitronic was so cool and Sorenson and the Mazi-Hovsepians
and Ski and, uh. . .ME and many others have not reconciled
our loss. It's our own personal 9/11 tragedy.
The psychedelic background was the idea of Caitlin
Moriarity, our Asst. Managing Editor who will soon be leaving
us to move to San Francisco, and was created by Art Director
Matt Schramel. (wink, wink) -- Ed.

Yeah, we think so too. More great work by our Art Director,
Matt Schramel, adding nitro flames to a photo by Ian Tocher.
