DENNIS MAUDSLEY: Out of all the Quick 8 cars, this one pleased
the crowd the most. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa driver wheels an all-steel,
fuel altered-type, blown and injected '48 Fiat Topolino that, according
to Maudsley, has been in the sixes at over 200 mph. He's been racing
for 30 years in a career that includes saddle time in door cars, Super
Comp racers, and a wild '72 Opel GT Funny Car.

PAT RICHARDSON: From Moline, Ill., came the only Pro Stocker
in the event, the Halley & Richardson '95 Pontiac Trans Am. Randy
Halley and Richardson ran the Midwest Pro Stock circuit for the last
few years, switching over to the E.T. Brackets in 2001. The 2,400-lb,
Rick Jones-built, 500-cid-powered Pontiac claims a best of 7.00 at 194
mph. Richardson figures his biggest accomplishment was winning the Midwest
Pro Stock circuit title in 2000.

HANK ENZELLIS: The Riverton, Ill. driver's biggest accomplishment
was his last race ... a sort of race for life as it were. He is a National
Guardsman and spent some anxious time in Afghanistan where every straightaway
is a dragstrip. The now State Patrolman runs a '69 Camaro under the
LAW Racing banner, which is powered by a 540-cid Merlin with dual quads
and alcohol for fuel. Enzellis claims an 8.24/164.57 as his best effort.
