The ANDRA Westernationals were held on March 1-3 at Perth Motorplex. This weekend hosted not only the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series racers but also Top Doorslammer and Top Fuel Motorcycle competitors who battled it out for the West Coast Challenge, with 187 racers signing up for the two-day event.
In the Super Stock bracket, Steve Norman walked away with the victory as well as the D/GA ET and MPH record, resetting the marker to 8.347 seconds and 160.66 mph in an intense final against runner-up Todd Stacy.
See all of the Westernationals results here.
The Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series will return to the Perth Motorplex next month, April 6-7, for the ANDRA Grand Final event where the champions of the 2018/19 season will be crowned. [03/04/19]
In addition to the Mountain Motor Pro Stocks, the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway will have Mountain Motor Pro Stocks among the attractions. The East10Drift will entertain the fans and offer ride-alongs.
“Like every other national attraction, zMAX Dragway is constantly evolving and expanding its lineup of entertainment,” said Greg Walter, the executive vice president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “We’re just like our fans: we want to see new, loud, exciting and awe-inspiring experiences at the drag strip. We believe that giving fans the chance to shred rubber in an East10Drift ride-along and experience the raw power of Mountain Motor Pro Stock will exceed those expectations. We’re going to be in for a real show!”
The other classes on the April 26-28 event schedule include Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle, Factory Stock, and Pro Mod. The Mountain Motor Pro Stocks will make their first NHRA appearance of the season at Houston on April 12-14. [03/04/19]
