Australia’s Sydney Dragway announced that the track management have agreed to an extension of the Naming Rights Partnership with Atlantic Oils to ensure that the November 400 Thunder event will be known as the Atlantic Oils East Coast Thunder for the immediate future.

With the support of the New South Wales Government, the $11 million that was announced earlier this year has been allocated to begin work on the redevelopment of Sydney Dragway that will take place in 2020. Improvements include: Re‐laying the racing surface from start to finish, including a full concrete quarter mile and bitumen in the shutdown area; improved spectator facilities including upgraded amenities; and improved corporate facilities.

4 lanes, no waiting at Street Car Super Nationals

In last year’s SCSN 275 Radial final, Clint Downs (far lane) was victorious over John Urist in a squeaker, 4.412/160.77 to 4.418/162.72.

This week’s COMP Cams Street Car Super Nationals 15 presented by FuelTech will again run one pair of lanes for Radial Tire classes and the other pair for Slick Tire classes. The event runs Nov. 21-24 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The plan was developed last year by SCSN Promoter and Premier Street Car Association President, Mel Roth, and LVMS facility director of operations, Jeff Foster.

New this season is the popular Radial vs. The World class presented by Car-O-Liner and M&M Transmission. This makes 16 classes, including Pro Mod and Outlaw 10.5, five Radial Tire classes, three No-Time Grudge classes, and six Bracket classes throughout the four days.

Man Cup will finish season at SGMP

Frankie Stotz made the world take notice of him with world record setting performance and consistency at last year’s Man Cup. On Sunday his Honda recorded times of 6.607, 6.608, 6.601 and 6.603, on his way to defeating Rodney Williford in the finals.

The 43rd annual Man Cup Motorcycle Drag Racing World Finals will be Nov. 21-24 at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

New Product of the Day

Isky E-Z Roller Helix Lifters

The EZ-Roll Helix lifter from Isky Racing Cams has a needle-free bushing made of a proprietary solid bearing that can carry a greater load and has more surface area for load distribution. The NRG-Spin anti-friction, “rotational-assist” technology forms a protective barrier, forming a shield to guard against dry startup. The Directed NanoLube Architecture means there are scientifically formed acoustic-wave channels in the bushing, and these channels direct oil to keep the bearing/bushing covered in oil. This means the ISKY Helix design directs oil to where it’s needed most. This provides advanced protection under extreme-performance conditions that would typically destroy other lifters in short order.
