Eman tests new Mustang Pro Mod

Trevor Eman and the Aruba.com team just took delivery of their new Jerry Haas Race Cars-built 2018 Mustang. This will be the first major update for the team since they debuted their 2011 Mustang seven years ago. The new car will be equipped with their tried and true Jon Kaase Ford power.

The Aruba.com Team has historically had some of the most eye-catching rides in drag racing and this Mustang is no different. It personifies the Emans’ island paradise home with vibrant colors depicting deep blue waters with palm trees set against a sunset backdrop.

The Emans flew in from Aruba to the team race shop in Union, SC, to take delivery of the new Mustang this week, and the team got to work right away, fitting Trevor for the car and making final preparations just in time to test locally this weekend at Union County Raceway. The first event will be the PDRA Drag Wars at GALOT Motorsports Park, Sept. 6-8.

SEMA urges charitable donations for California aftermarket fire victims

With at least 17 wildfires burning in California at the present, there seems to be no end in sight with some of the fires predicted to burn for months.

SEMA’s Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) is expediting help for industry families in need.

“We urgently need industry support in a couple of key ways,” said Joel Ayres, AACF executive director. “Companies with California employees, dealers or shops are urged to send email or text message notifications to those who might be affected to provide a link to the AACF online application for aid. Industry members can help us raise emergency funds for the relief effort. As with last year’s unprecedented hurricane season, the wildfires in California are catastrophic and ongoing. Our mission is to provide emergency gap funding to aftermarket employees in times of crisis when they have nowhere else to turn.”

Off the Track: Speedway Motorsports offers ‘rain check’ to NASCAR fans

Bruton and Marcus Smith’s Speedway Motorsports, Inc. has announced a Fans First initiative that will ease weather-related worries about buying NASCAR race tickets.

The Speedway Motorsports Weather Guarantee provides race fans the ultimate assurance in their NASCAR ticket investment. As part of the company’s new weather policy, if a NASCAR race is postponed due to weather and the ticket holder is unable to attend on the rescheduled date, a ticket credit can be issued toward a qualifying NASCAR race at any Speedway Motorsports venue. This initiative is valid for Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Sonoma Raceway and Texas Motor Speedway.

Fans with an unused, eligible ticket will have 60 days from the original race date to request a ticket credit on a qualifying future event. The credit must be used toward another Speedway Motorsports’ NASCAR event within one calendar year of the original race date or the same event the following year, even if it takes place beyond the one-year mark.

Now that is what the Agent calls good customer relations.
