Fans will see a new body and paint scheme on the Snap-on Toyota Funny Car when Cruz Pedregon and team roll into Bandimere Speedway.
"We're excited to continue the team's tradition of naming our Funny Car bodies, and we'll be introducing 'El Chicano' this weekend and its new Snap-on Franchise 'Own It' paint scheme," says Cruz. "The body name is one that reflects my heritage as a Mexican American, and I'm ready to show it off to fans watching the events at Mile-High this weekend."
Crew Chief Aaron Brooks says, "It feels like a fresh start as we head to Denver with a new body and look on the Snap-on Toyota. We even had the Snap-on toolboxes trimmed out with custom pinstriping that will give the team and everyone coming by our pit a whole new energy as we head into the Western Swing."
The El Chicano body and Snap-on Franchise paint scheme will run through Brainerd. [07/20/18]

Street-Legal Drag Spec for Scat Pak from Nexen Tire
Recently, Dodge selected Nexen Tire for the debut and launch of the new 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320, designed to deliver pavement-pounding fun on the dragstrip. The tire, called the Nexen N’FERA SUR4G Drag Spec was designed together with Dodge and their high-performance team of engineers at SRT to create a street legal drag tire that can perform on tracks with either minimal track preparation or full track preparation. The Nexen N’FERA SUR4G Drag Spec will come in only one size (275/40R20 102W) and it will be a street-legal drag radial tire. The tread pattern is a non-directional pattern that allows unrestricted tire rotation to extend the life of the tire at the drag strip. The proprietary tread compound is exclusive to Dodge and the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320. The tire has been tested around the country on multiple tracks to ensure maximum performance regardless of surface. [07/20/18]
