Taylor back in the States so Bray will go it alone at Adelaide

Team Bray Racing will focus all of its efforts on Ben Bray and his Gulf Western Oil ‘Slammer at Adelaide International Raceway this weekend.

Bray’s teammate Frankie Taylor is unable to attend the March 23-24 event due to business and racing commitments in his native US, leaving Ben to fly the flag solo for TBR on-track.

Racing over the 1,000-ft distance, Friday will host two test sessions for the Pro Slammer category with three rounds of racing on Saturday.

While disappointed he won’t be able to attend this weekend, Taylor is quick to confirm he will be back for the Gulf Western Oil sponsored events to round out the season.

“Naturally I am very disappointed to not be racing with TBR this weekend in Adelaide, I am currently third (224 points) on the championship ladder and locked in a battle with Ben (213 points) and Mark Belleri (209 points),” the Texan said.

“While I am not able to be there this weekend, I am 100 percent going to be back for May’s Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder and the season ending Gulf Western Oil Winternationals.”

Tocher Talks Again!

The Agent is happy to report that Ian Tocher will be returning to DRO to keep us all up to date on the world of Radial Tire racing.

You may remember that Tocher wrote a Tocher Talks (his name is pronounced ‘talker’) column several years ago for us before heading on to other organizations.

The photojournalist was hit by Top Sportsman racer Ronnie Davis in April 2016 at the PDRA race at Rockingham, NC, when the car went over the guardrail at the top end of the track. Davis later died. Tocher endured many operations and several months of rehab. Because it would not heal properly his left leg below the knee was amputated in November of that year and he was fitted with a prosthesis.

We are very happy to have him back…even if (as usual) he misses a deadline or two. His first column is at here.
