NHDRO’s May Bike Fest was held May 17-19 at Dragway 41 in Morocco, IN, and two sportsman racers that suffered recent heavy setbacks collected big wins.
David Beshara (shown) had a new bike at Morocco after his “Lunch Money” ‘Busa was stolen out of his garage last July. He took the Crazy Comp win.
Ohio racer Jeremy England crashed a brand-new wheelie-bar bike in late March but borrowed some leathers and raced his no-bar Suzuki Hayabusa to the Street Fighter win at Morocco. See all the results at here.
Next up for NHDRO is World Wide Technology at Gateway in Madison, IL, for the Kenneth R. Schwartz attorney at law Motorcycle Madness Nationals on June 7-9. [05/22/19]
The fifth annual Silver State Commercial Refrigeration West Coast Classic Bracket Race will take place Memorial Day weekend at Auto Club Dragway, Fontana, CA. The event will feature eighth-mile racing.
Super Pro and Pro categories will have special events Friday, Saturday and Sunday. New to the event this year is a Jr. Dragster invitational. Eight drivers in each of the three classes (6-9 year- old, 10-12 and 13-17) will get a Saturday afternoon time run along with a run-for-the-money pass. Juniors will get a qualifying run Sunday morning followed by eliminations. [05/22/19]
The Keystone Automotive NMRA Series arrived May 16-19 for the third stop in its 2019 season at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.
The final round of Street Outlaw started with Phil Hines strapping a sizable .042 to .129 holeshot on No. 1 qualifier Vinny Palazzolo, and despite Palazzolo running a quicker 4.41 at 161 mph, he couldn’t catch the 4.48 at 160 mph from Hines’ ProCharger-fed 2001 Mustang before the finish line, giving Hines the win.
See all the other results at here. [05/22/19]
