To kick off the 50th anniversary of Pro Stock, the 2019 NHRA Breakfast at the SEMA Show will bring some superstars of this category together to discuss “Fifty Years of Pro Stock.”

The NHRA Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 6, will feature drag racing legends and current drivers including Herb McCandless, Warren Johnson, Greg Anderson, Erica Enders and Jeg Coughlin Jr. For the second year, FOX broadcast announcer Brian Lohnes will serve as the panel moderator.

The Racing History Project will host an event recalling two Southern California racing landmarks on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Valley Relics Museum in Van Nuys, CA. The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

San Fernando Dragstrip was open from 1955 to 1969. Among those expected to attend this event are Harry Hibler, Bob Muravez, “TV Tommy” Ivo, Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Ed “Isky” Iskenderian.

Also on the agenda will be a look back at the Paramount Ranch road course in the Santa Monica Mountains. It hosted over 500 movie and television shoots, along with five sports car races and two stock car races in 1956 and ’57.  [10/04/19]
