Thomas Bayer is the 2017 NHRA Pacific Division Super Comp champion.
The K&N 890 Race Series presented by Casner Racing Enterprises will make its debut on Feb. 3 and 4 at Auto Club Dragway, Fontana, CA.
Super Comp racers will have seven race dates from which to choose their five best for points. Each day will be a separate event. Other dates are April 28 and 29, June 23 and 24, and Sept. 8 and 9. The Sept. 9th race will be a non-points event, or makeup date.

Newly crowned NHRA Funny Car champion Robert Hight will be among the professional drivers at this weekend’s St. Louis Auto Show held at America’s Center. He will sign autographs at the AAA Insurance booth on Saturday, Jan. 27, from noon to 2 p.m. His race car will also be on display.
Right next door, in the Gateway Motorsports Park booth, Josef Newgarden, reining Verizon IndyCar Series champion will meet fans and sign autographs on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ARCA Racing Series driver Travis Braden will be in the booth Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., along with his No. 27 RFMS Racing Ford Fusion on display. Local USAC Midget racer Austin Blair will also be in the GMP booth Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Gateway Kartplex will give show attendees the opportunity to drive a racing kart on an indoor road course. Of special interest on display is A.J. Foyt’s 1971 Coyote Ford Indianapolis 500 race car. The show runs through Sunday, Jan. 28.
Weather permitting, the drag racing season at Gateway Motorsports Park starts on Saturday, March 10, with a test & tune session. Their popular Midnight Madness series begins on Friday, March 23. [01/26/18]

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Cobra Jet drag car. The NMCA (www.nmcadigital.com) will celebrate on August 26-28 with the 50th Anniversary Ford Performance Cobra Jet Reunion at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH.
Late-model and early Cobra Jets will compete for bragging rights and the chance to be crowned King of the Cobra Jets. [01/26/18]

Get ready, folks, your break is almost over and testing for NHRA nitro race teams will be on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. Teams will be testing in advance of the NHRA Arizona Nationals on Feb. 23-25.
The Wild Horse drag racing season begins Jan. 26 with Friday Night Drags and then continues on the 27th with the Summit Series. [01/26/18]
