The Victory Nostalgia Super Stock series racers will compete at the NMCA World Street Finals. Here is series regular Rosie Kossuth in her “Lady Max.”
The Nostalgia Super Stock All-Stars will return once again to Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis the weekend of Sept. 21-24 as a part of the SDPC Race Shop NMCA World Street Finals presented by Chevrolet Performance. This special Nostalgia Super Stock event, presented by FueLab, was developed with support from the Victory Performance Nostalgia Super Stock series as they join NMCA’s family of racers each year in anticipation of running Indy’s famed quarter mile.
The event will kick-off in style on Friday with an NMCA vs. Victory Series All-Star 32 Car Showdown with participants determined by a mixture of qualifying and previous year standings. The NMCA and Victory series Nostalgia Super Stock racers will each compete in their own race categories for championship points. Victory series racers will have their eliminations on Saturday and will then join the ATI Performance NMCA NSS family of racers on Sunday making one of the biggest Nostalgia Super Stock fields of the year. The overall winner will take a trip into the Aerospace Components Winners Circle where he/she will be awarded big money and the coveted Victor award.
Brought to you by E3 Spark Plugs, the SDPC Race Shop NMCA World Street Finals and LSX Shootout features heads-up Xtreme Pro Mods, Radial Wars, Factory Super Cars, Street Outlaws, LSX monsters, Nostalgia Super Stockers and much more as champions are crowned at Lucas Oil Raceway.
The World Street Finals also features a large manufacturers’ midway, Muscle Car & Hot Rod Car Show Saturday & Sunday, and special race classes including the F.A.S.T. group, a Top Sportsman Challenge, and special LSX race categories. On Saturday Street Outlaws TV stars Derek, BoostedGT, and Kayla Morton will sign autographs, take pictures, and make wild wheels-up passes down the track. [09/07/17]
The 400 Thunder Sportsman Series has announced that effective immediately, the Sportsman points cap has been increased from 200 points to a 250 point maximum prior to the final round of the championship, the season-ending Gulf Western Oils Winternationals.
As in previous years, points accrued at the final event will then be added to the capped points total to determine the 400 Thunder Sportsman Series Champions in each bracket. In the event of a tie, the championship will be awarded to the competitor who progressed through the most rounds of eliminations at the final event. In the event that this still leaves a tie, this would then settled by awarding to the competitor who performed better in relation to their class index or dial-in in their last round of racing.
The opening round of the Sportsman Series at Springmount Raceway will see a 50% bonus points round on offer, in addition to the event now being included as an interstate event for ALL competitors.
To be eligible for the Championship, a competitor must contest at least three rounds, including the finals, with at least one of the three rounds to be interstate from their home base.
A minimum of six competitors must attempt to qualify in order for the bracket to be contested, with 20 points awarded to each entered competitor on fields that do not meet the required number. Brackets must also be contested at a minimum of three events across the season to be eligible for Championship status.
The amendments to the 400 Thunder Sportsman Series take effect immediately, with the opening round of the series to be held at Springmount Raceway on October 7. [09/07/17]

MSD Solid State Relay Block
MSD's Solid State Relay Block eliminates wiring headaches and cleans up any engine compartment, taking the place of four standard relays. Four independent channels can be activated using either power or ground, and each is capable of handling up to 20 amps of continuous current, providing up to 80 amps of power. This compact, efficient module is perfect for controlling electric fans, water pumps, nitrous solenoids, auxiliary lighting, or any electrical accessory that would normally require a relay. LED status indicators ensure proper wiring and operation of each channel, and if a problem should arise the relay block has built-in automatic over-temp, short-circuit, and overload protection. It even comes complete with all the necessary hardware for a fast, easy installation and can be rotated 90 degrees to accommodate numerous mounting locations. [09/07/17]
