Australia holds 49th Westernationals at Perth Motorplex

The 2020 Westernationals – which marks round eight of the 2019/2020 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series – will be held this Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 29 – March 1) at the Perth Motorplex.

 

The ANDRA event will feature not only all the racing for the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series, but also Top Fuel, the West Coast Top Doorslammer Challenge and the West Coast Nitro Bike Challenge.   [02/26/20]

NMRA begins season at Bradenton, Florida

After retiring from the U.S. Postal Service, Danny Towe will run the entire NMRA season. Towe will still be running his familiar Harland Sharp-backed Mustang, which he’s owned since ’94 and has raced since ’97. He was NMRA Ford Muscle champion in 2016. (www.nmradigital.com)

 

The 26th Annual Nitto NMRA Spring Break Shootout will be held at Florida’s Bradenton Motorsports Park on Feb. 27-Mar. 1.

 

Classes for this event include Street Outlaw, Renegade, Modified Street, Coyote Stock, Limited Street, Factory Stock, Modular Muscle, Super Stang, Truck & Lightning, Open Comp, Ford Muscle, True Street, Bracket, Terminator/GT 500 Shootout, Cobra Jet Shootout and Turbo Battle.

 

A special feature will be Nitto drivers Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Chelsea Denofa in a best two-out-of-three match race on Saturday, Feb. 29.   [02/26/20]

Xtreme Raceway Park renews with IHRA

Xtreme Raceway Park, Ferris, TX, has entered into a multi-year sanctioning agreement.

 

Track owners Clyde and Amanda Scott, along with track operators Gaylen and Celeste Smith, designed the facility that opened in 2018 to be racer friendly. Their hard work has paid off and the track, conveniently located off Interstate 45 in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, was named the IHRA Division 4 (Renegades) Track of the Year in 2019.
